Professional league drafts for MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, PLL, and WNBA. The following types of wagers are permitted:
Pre-draft wagers – All pre-draft wagers must be made and accepted prior to the first selection of the draft.
In-draft wagers (i.e., wagers placed after a round has started regarding specific in-round selections) may be offered up to two (2) selections prior to the actual occurrence on the draft broadcast. For example, “Pick #15 of the draft to be by player X” would need to be placed prior to the announcement of “Pick #13”.
Round-specific wagers (i.e., wagers related to activity in a specific round) must be offered and accepted prior to the start of that specific round, including any trades that occur for that round. For example, a wager such as, “Will Player X be drafted in Round 2?” or “X number of defensive backs drafted in Round 2.” These wagers must be placed prior to the start of Round 2.
Awards for regular, in-season, and postseason play for the following professional sports leagues are permitted: NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, PLL, and ACL. Examples of sports league awards include the NBA Regular Season MVP, NFL Super Bowl MVP, the NBA Defensive Player of the Year, the NBA In-Season Tournament MVP, and the NHL Vezina Trophy.
For seasonal awards, wagering must cease prior to the end of the regular season.
For in-season awards, wagering must cease prior to the start of the in-season tournament.
For single-game postseason awards (i.e., Super Bowl MVP), wagering must cease prior to the start of the game. For postseason series awards, wagering must cease prior to the start of Game 1 of the series (i.e., Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, World Series, etc.)
The following collegiate awards are permitted:
Heisman Memorial Trophy – wagering must cease on the first Sunday in December at 11:59 p.m. CST.
John R. Wooden Award (men’s and women’s) – wagering must cease on the second Sunday in March at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
Dick Howser Trophy – wagering must cease on the second Sunday in June at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
Doak Walker Award – wagering must cease at the time votes are due.
Fred Biletnikoff Award – wagering must cease at the time votes are due.
Bear Bryant Coach of The Year Award – wagering must cease at the time votes are due.
NCAA FBS National Championship game Offensive and Defensive MVP – wagering must cease prior to the start of the game.
